Twenty-four sites to host one-day event in January

December 13, 2011

Eugene, OR – College Goal Oregon (CGO), a one-day event to help college-bound students and their families learn about financial aid options and how to apply, is planned for each Saturday in January throughout Oregon. Twenty-four sites are hosting this free financial aid event. (See dates and locations below.)

This event is open to graduating high school seniors, college students, and anyone interested in going to college. Students will get free, on-site help from financial aid professionals in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as the FAFSA. The FAFSA determines eligibility for need-based federal, state and campus-based financial aid including the Oregon Opportunity Grant.

Students should bring their parents to the event, if possible, and the tax returns of both parents and student. For specific dates, locations, hours, and types documents to bring to the event visit: www.CollegeGoalOregon.gov.
