Transcripts and GPA Verification

In order to verify that a student's application meets the eligibility criteria for Oregon Promise, OSAC must be able to confirm the GPA, GED, and official graduation date during the application review process. Please review the following information to determine what documentation a particular student will need to submit in order to have their Oregon Promise application reviewed. It is the student's responsibility that GPA verification or document submission is completed by their deadline.

Students must meet all of the eligibility and application requirements.

Submit the Oregon Promise Grant application AND the FAFSA or ORSAA by the appropriate deadline, and list at least one Oregon community college on the FAFSA or ORSAA.
Be a recent Oregon high school graduate or GED® test graduate.
Attend an Oregon community college by your required start term, based on your graduation date.
Have a 2.0 cumulative, unweighted high school GPA or higher, or a 145 grade on all GED® tests.
Be an Oregon resident for at least 12 months prior to college attendance.
- For dependent students, your parent(s) must also live in Oregon.
Have no more than 90 college credits completed or attempted.
Students may be subject to eligibility requirements based on their Student Aid Index (SAI). SAI eligibility requirements are subject to change based on available funding.

High School Senior Graduating March - June

These instructions are for students who are graduating from a public, private, or alternative Oregon high school. For instructions on Oregon homeschool graduates, please view the homeschool student option below.

OSAC strongly encourages high school students to request GPA verification within their Oregon Promise application, instead of uploading/mailing their transcripts. GPA verification is where high school registrar(s) verify GPAs electronically through OSAC's secure Partner Portal.

If a high school senior chooses to submit their transcript (either electronically or mail/hand deliver), it must be a transcript that includes the following:

Grades through first semester/second quarter/first trimester (depending on school calendar) of the student's senior year. These transcripts are typically available in January/February
Must have cumulative, unweighted GPA
List student name, school name and address
Unofficial transcript is okay

Even if the student does not currently meet the GPA requirement, they must apply and submit their application and transcript by the appropriate deadline. Students will have the opportunity to upload a final transcript as long as they submitted their application and documents on time.

Graduation date is defined as the official graduation date from the high school, typically printed on the transcript - it does not mean the date of a graduation ceremony.

OSAC encourages students to electronically upload their documents directly to their Oregon Promise application (if not participating in GPA verification). If a student must mail/hand deliver, please view address below. Documents must be delivered to OSAC by the student's deadline in order to be considered on time (postmarked date is not considered).
