Oregon Promise Grant

The Oregon Promise is a state grant that helps cover tuition costs at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates and GED® test graduates. Students must apply during their senior year or immediately after GED® test completion. 

The Oregon Promise Grant application is now CLOSED. Students who graduated prior to June 30th have now missed their deadline to apply. Students who graduated on or after July 1st, 2026, will need to wait to apply when their application opens in October 2026.

Award Amounts

Award range for full-time, full-year students:

2025-26: $2,202 to $4,584
2026-27: $2,280 to $4,716

Program Updates

AUGUST 2026

  • The SAI Limit has been finalized at 27,000 for Class of 2026.
    • Students with an SAI of $27,000 are not eligible for the grant.
  • The application is now closed. Students who graduate between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027 can start applying in October 2026.
  • Students who graduated prior to June 30, 2026 have missed their deadline to apply for Oregon Promise.
  • Students who are receiving the grant in the current academic year (2025-26) must have submitted the 2026-27 FAFSA or ORSAA by June 1, 2026 to be considered for the upcoming year. Renewal students are not subjected to the SAI limit for 2026-27.
