Oregon Promise Grant

The Oregon Promise is a state grant that helps cover tuition costs at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates and GED® test graduates. Students must apply during their senior year or immediately after GED® test completion.

Award Amounts

Awards range from $2,000 to $4,128 per year (in 2022-23) for full-time students.

Program Updates

December 2022

  • Application is open for students who will graduate between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023*
  • NEXT DEADLINE DEC. 10 for GED® students who graduated between July 1, 2022 - Nov. 30, 2022 to apply
    • *Deadline has passed for high school students who graduated between July 1, 2022 - Nov. 30, 2022 to apply 
  • At this time, it is unknown if there will be an EFC limit for Class of 2023 applicants. All March 1 - June 30 graduates, regardless of income, must apply by June 1 to be considered for the grant
