The Oregon Teacher Scholars Program (OTSP) Grant provides funding for eligible candidates who have experience with diverse populations who are pursuing their preliminary licensure program for teaching, school counseling, social work, and school psychology. The OTSP Grant is offered in partnership with the Educator Advancement Council and the Oregon Department of Education.
Eligible students must complete the Oregon Teacher Scholars Program (OTSP) Grant application and the FAFSA or ORSAA by the designated deadline for full consideration.
Continuing Scholars: Renewal applicants (those who have received the grant in a prior year) must login to their OSAC Student Portal account and re-apply for the next academic year in addition to submitting their FAFSA or ORSAA for the corresponding academic year. Applications for the OTSP Grant are now accepted on a rolling deadline basis, with review periods prior to the start of each academic term (see “What are the deadlines?” section below).
The 2026–27 OTSP application is now closed.
Eligible applications exceeded the allotted OTSP funding for the academic year. As a result, not all Fall 2026 eligible applicants will receive an award, and no awards will be issued for Winter or Spring 2027 applicants.
Application review is currently in progress.
Students will receive email notifications once their application has been reviewed. This includes:
• Applicants whose applications have been accepted, and
• Applicants who are not selected for the 2026–27 cycle.
Awarding will occur after applications have been reviewed, accepted, and verified for enrollment by the student’s institution.
Due to eligible applications exceeding allotted OTSP funding for the 2025–26 academic year, no awards were granted to the Spring 2026 applicants.
